We may collect personal information / identifiable information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, subscribe, fill out a form, complete checklist tasks, fill out our CRS score calculator, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, and additional personal information about themselves and their immigration journey including birthday, marital status, city and country of residence, work history, education history, language proficiency scores.

How we use collected Information:

PR Coach may collect and use Users’ personal information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide and improve customer service - We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve our services, as well as to personalize your experience and respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently. 

  2. To personalize user experience -  We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use the services and resources provided on our Site. We also use personal information to customize the PR Coach account for each user, providing personalized resources including immigration checklists, articles, videos, and offers. More personalized features will be added as the account expands.

  3. Newsletters and promotional information or other Site featureTo send Users information they agreed to receive about topics we think will be of interest to them. Share anonymized, aggregated data with partners such as immigration law firms, and consultants to help them better understand trends and improve their services.

  4. To improve our Site - We may use feedback you provide to improve our products and services. Publish aggregated reports that do not include personally identifiable information (PII).

  5. To send emails -  We may use the email address to respond to your inquiries, questions, and/or other requests. 

  6. Legal Compliance  - We may use your information to comply with legal obligations, enforce our policies, and protect the rights, property, or safety of PR Coach and its users.

By clicking the consent button on our registration forms, the User agrees to receive PR Coach’s email newsletters containing immigration news and product updates. If User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email. If at any time the User would like to withdraw consent, users may do so at any time by clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ button in our emails. Sharing your Personal Information with us does have certain risks including risk of unauthorised disclosure of Personal Information, identity theft, and fraud.

Data Deletion - PR Coach will only keep customer information to the extent required for the purposes outlined in this policy and in accordance with the consumer's right to request deletion of their data at any time. Additionally, we may retain the personal data for a longer duration if the customer has provided consent for such processing, provided that the consent is not revoked. Furthermore, PR Coach may be required to retain personal data for an extended period if necessary to fulfil a legal obligation or in compliance with an authority's directive.

    Users’ have the right to access and correct their personal data through their profile settings.  Users’ personal information can be deleted by requesting their account be deleted. Before choosing to delete their data, Users are reminded that deleting their Account will delete all of their data and automatically unsubscribe them from PR Coach emails and newsletters. PR Coach will make the necessary arrangements, subject to any legal requirements or the privacy policies of third-party vendors, to delete said data.

    When a user deletes their data, PR Coach ensures that their data is either safely and entirely removed from PR Coach servers or retained only in anonymized form which cannot be associated with the user. To verify deletion requests and protect user information from malicious or accidental deletion there may be some delays from the time of deletion of information and when copies of said information are deleted from PR Coach's active and backup systems.

Compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

PR Coach is in compliance with GDPR as to how we gather, store and process data. We therefore aim to provide users with simple, convenient ways to interact with our services and retain control over the information they choose to share with us. We have taken following steps in this respect :

By clicking the consent button on our registration forms, the User agrees to receive PR Coach’s email newsletters containing immigration news and product updates. If User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email. If at any time the User would like to withdraw consent, users may do so at any time by clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ button in our emails. Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site in order to ensure that our users have the optimal experience while using our platform.  This type of data helps us understand why some users have issues that other users don’t have. Non-personal identification information may include the following:

  1. Usage Information - We collect certain information automatically when you use PR Coach, including your IP address, device information, browser type, browsing history. 

  2. Technical Information - This may include login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, or information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our website, and usage details as well as non-personal details about your online interactions, including the Uniform Resource Locators (URLs), clickstream to, through and from our website including date and time, products you viewed or searched, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), methods used to browse away from the page, email response and interactions and any phone number used to interact with us.

  3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies - We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience, analyze usage patterns and accordingly deliver targeted information and output.

Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. We use Google Analytics and Google Advertising cookies to gather non-personally identifiable data about a User’s use of PR Coach. This data will never be combined with other data to identify a User personally. User may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly. Users owning a Google account can also manage any cookies Google services place for them in their Google account under “My Activity”.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to aggregated data as it is not possible to determine the identity of specific individuals from aggregated data. PR Coach Inc. reserves the right to use anonymous, aggregated data in any way that it determines appropriate to help provide a better user experience.

Users will be given the opportunity to opt-in or opt-out of Cookie usage and change Cookie preferences when accessing the site for the first time.

Biometric Information:

We do not collect, use, access, disclose, or retain any biometric data. However, our apps may be supported by third parties such as Google or Apple. Through the use of third party technology, users may enable technology which uses biometrics for authentication. When such technology is enabled, we will be notified if the authentication is successful but will not have access to any of the data associated with the authentication.

How we collect your Information:

  1. We may collect your information directly from you (or anyone authorized by you to act on your behalf under a legal authority) using a variety of means (including technological mediums). This information may be collected from various sources including our interactions with you (e.g. email, instant messaging/chat, telephone and video calls);

  2. Third party service providers (eg: immigration lawyers and immigration consultants).

  3. Our affiliates, partners, and related entities; and organizations with whom you have arrangements or any other sources we deem appropriate (where the information obtained will help us serve you).

Information Sharing and Disclosure

  1. How we protect your information - We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.

  2. Sharing your personal information - As a general rule, we do not sell, trade, or rent Users’ personal identification information to others, we may explore opportunities to license anonymized or aggregated datasets to research organizations or businesses in the future. Any monetization would be done in a way that maintains your privacy and protects your personal data. We may share generic aggregated, anonymized data not linked to any personal identification information regarding users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and selected third parties such as Immigration law firms and consultants.

  3. Service Providers - We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist us in servicing you.

  4. Applicable Law - We may use your information to comply with legal obligations, enforce our policies, and protect the rights, property, or safety of PR Coach and its users.

  5. Business Transfers - In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

  6. Data Security -  We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Sharing your Personal Information with us does have certain risks including risk of unauthorised disclosure of Personal Information, identity theft, and fraud.

  7. Data Deletion - PR Coach will only keep customer information to the extent required for the purposes outlined in this policy and in accordance with the consumer's right to request deletion of their data at any time. Additionally, we may retain the personal data for a longer duration if the customer has provided consent for such processing, provided that the consent is not revoked. Furthermore, PR Coach may be required to retain personal data for an extended period if necessary to fulfil a legal obligation or in compliance with an authority's directive.

    Users’ have the right to access and correct their personal data through their profile settings.  Users’ personal information can be deleted by requesting their account be deleted. Before choosing to delete their data, Users are reminded that deleting their Account will delete all of their data and automatically unsubscribe them from PR Coach emails and newsletters. PR Coach will make the necessary arrangements, subject to any legal requirements or the privacy policies of third-party vendors, to delete said data.

    When a user deletes their data, PR Coach ensures that their data is either safely and entirely removed from PR Coach servers or retained only in anonymized form which cannot be associated with the user. To verify deletion requests and protect user information from malicious or accidental deletion there may be some delays from the time of deletion of information and when copies of said information are deleted from PR Coach's active and backup systems.

Compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

PR Coach is in compliance with GDPR as to how we gather, store and process data. We therefore aim to provide users with simple, convenient ways to interact with our services and retain control over the information they choose to share with us. We have taken following steps in this respect :

  • Privacy policy updated to ensure it offers the required information and is easy to understand.

  • All data storage and processing service providers are compliant and provide the necessary security for stored data.

  • Set up a mechanism to ensure GDPR compliance and prospective user experience and privacy concerns which may arise in the future.

  • Opt-in mechanisms audited and only interact with users who explicitly opt-in to receive communications and/ or services.

  • We have appropriate documentation in place, which details what data is passed on to whom.

  • Ensure users have easy access and control of their data.

Ensuring the responsible handling of member data has always been part of the ‘social contract’ we have with the PR Coach users Community.

Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)

In accordance with CASL, and in respect of your privacy and our obligations under CASL, PR Coach agrees to: identify a message that is an advertisement as an advertisement in a reasonable way; not use false or misleading subjects, email addresses, or phone numbers; monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance, if we use one; honour opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly; allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email or following the instructions in each communication.

User Preferences 

You may opt-out of receiving promotional communications from PR Coach by following the instructions provided in such communications. You can also control cookies and tracking technologies through your browser settings.

While users may withdraw consent from obtaining promotional communications, this withdrawal will not apply to all communications. There are certain communications that all clients must receive (such as those regarding account-related information). Non users may withdraw consent from all communications at any time.

Children's Privacy 

PR Coach is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 18 years of age or such age as applicable in the jurisdiction we operate.

From time to time, at the discretion of PR Coach, third-party products or services may be included or offered on PR Coach. You may find advertising or other content on our Site that link to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. Ads appearing on our site may be delivered to Users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. Governance

This Privacy Policy is being drafted / developed in accordance with the principles enshrined in Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Privacy Act, GDPR guidelines and other relevant acts as applicable from time to time.
